I'm using NM and everything is working working fine. However after upgrading from 7.04 to 7.10 I had to compile and install the drivers from serialmonkey (http://rt2X00.serialmonkey.com/rt2570-cvs-daily.tar.gz). Without this driver I got a timeout-message during booting.
