Thanks for connecting my question https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/661125 to this bug. I do agree that there seems to be a connection.
If you ask for the package, I don't know if there is a "boot package", but the problem is at boot time. In my case I finally figured out where the audio clicks come from. It turns out that the boot process is turning off and on the monitor itself. I see the monitor LED go off, and then there is an audio click. Then it goes back on again. It will click like this on the order of 10+ times during the boot process. The problem began with 17.10. It seems connected to the change from Unity to Gnome. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1735976 Title: Problem with secondary monitor and DVD player To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1735976/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
