Public bug reported:

Trying to get caja-share working I completely uninstalled it and samba
and reinstalled caja-share and dependencies. Now sharing doesn't at
all. I get error:

'net usershare' returned error 255: mkdir failed on directory
/var/run/samba/msg.lock: Permission denied
net usershare: cannot open usershare directory /var/lib/samba/usershares. Error
No such file or directory
Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing.

This is fixed by installing samba package.

I tried to submit this under caja-share but launchpad doesn't believe
that it exists.

"caja-share" does not exist in Ubuntu. Please choose a different
package. If you're unsure, please select "I don't know"
