That workaround really works, I also have tested, and can confirm for the Inspiron 15R 5537.
However this completely disables the Radeon video card and the vgaswitcheroo... "/sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch: File or directory not found." So you can not use the dgpu for 3D applications and/or games. I now have two options: 1. Use the Mainline Kernels and be able to use the radeon video card or, 2. Use the Ubuntu Kernels, disable it completely and use only the Intel video card. For now, I will keep the first one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1566302 Title: Ubuntu 16.04: Suspend freezes the system after upgrade to linux image 4.4.0-16 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1566302/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
