Public bug reported:

When installing Ubuntu 16.04 Beta 2, the installer exited with an error
reporting that grub EFI didn't install in /target/.
This is the configuration I used:
- system partition (ext4), mount point /
- home partition (ext4), mount point /home
- swap partition

GRUB was being installed on MBR.
