In today's 64-bit Xubuntu ISO 20160403: I renamed a file about 20 times while on the Desktop but using thunar with a path of /home/xubuntu/Desktop - no crash Moving that file to home/xubuntu/Documents resulted in a crash on the first attempt to rename it. Moving it to the home directory (/home/xubuntu/) allowed numerous rename attempts without a crash. Moving the file to Pictures resulted in a crash on the first attempt to rename. Moving the file to Videos resulted in a crash on the first attempt to rename. Moving it to /home/xubuntu/ again allowed numerous rename attempts without a crash.
To me it looks like a successful rename is dependent on the location of the file being renamed. ** Tags added: xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512120 Title: thunar crashes on file renaming To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/thunar/+bug/1512120/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
