Continued: Conversely, setting automount to off, requests authentication to add an entry to fstab and then does so, and at next boot the result is the drive is mounted at boot as seen here: http://imgur.com/cFB1eMg
Perhaps it's just me but this seems counter-intuitive. I would expect that when setting auto mount to on an entry would be added to fstab to automatically mount the partition.
