Probably you are using cups-filters 1.0.76, 1.0.78 is not released yet. Why do you not use the packages supplied with your Ubuntu version?
Why are you using the legacy CUPS browsing/broadcasting protocol and not the DNS-SD standard protocol? The CUPS browsing/broadcasting protocol is intended for network which have a mix of CUPS 1.5.x (or older) and CUPS 1.6.x (or newer) machines. If your setup consists only of the two mentioned machines (both CUPS 2.0.4) you can use DNS-SD. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1501009 Title: g_type_init error when using cups-browsed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups-filters/+bug/1501009/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
