Very interesting.

If I remove the three sony modules (sonypi, sony-acpi and sony-laptop),
then load ONLY sony-laptop and then restart dbus and guidance-power-
manager, things are working again!!!

BUT if I only remove sonypi and sony-acpi, leave sony-laptop still
loaded, restart dbus, restart guidance, things don't work! I need to
unload all three and then load sony-laptop for things to work.

What is more, dmesg shows some output when using any of the fsfn keys as well:
[ 1521.084000] atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xf5 on
isa0060/serio0).
[ 1521.084000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e075 <keycode>' to make it known.

When the laptop boots, there is some kernel moaning about the sonypi
module. It says to use sony-laptop instead. Please see attached file.

PS: I have loaded sony-acpi and things still work fine.
