Sorry, I meant not restricted to that printer. It seems to happen with
quite a few HP Deskjets. libpoppler1's version is 0.5.1-0ubuntu7 (this
being a bug report for Dapper, sorry for the confusion).

By "incompletely prints", I meant the bottom half does not print, as if
the margins are off. I'll edit the bug report to clarify.

** Description changed:

- The printer is a HP Deskjet 3820 and I'm using the HPIJS driver (from
- my googling, it seems to not be restricted to that model number).
- Neither Evince nor xpdf completely print last line any of my pdf files
- nor the test page. For some reason, however, acroread prints it out
- perfectly.
+ The printer is a HP Deskjet 3820 and I'm using the HPIJS driver From my
+ googling, it seems to not be restricted to this printer. Many Deskjets
+ seem to have this problem. Both evince and xpdf print only the top half
+ of the last line of all the pdfs I've tried (all academic articles) and
+ does not print all of the outer lines that travel around the margins in
+ the test page. I wish I had a scanner to demonstrate the problem. I
+ would have guessed that these margin problem would be due to mistaken
+ page size settings, but its set to "letter" everywhere (I'm in the US).
+
+ For some reason, however, acroread prints it these last lines perfectly.
