I'm really impressed with your bugtrace, very smart. But one additional info: The tribe-3 version has already broken. Thats what I can understand from the bug explanation and that is the version I installed (from a clean install) in my notebook and already had the bug. Note that in that time, we had to use the NVIDIA official installer.
