Winckler: Faulty logic (in my case that tribe 3's xorg worked) will get you ever time. Thanks for the debunking!
I guess we're back to square two. Assuming you can find a lower patched version of Xorg that works (which is possible according to Michael) you can use bisection (where you test half the patches that might contain the problem then half again etc) means that you should be able to narrow down the problem patch in no more than 8 tries. I guess if you are doing this you might want to report your progress if rebuilding xorg is going to take a long time in case someone can help... Alternatively if someone can throw up 8 builds of xorg with different patches in them then I guess people can download them and report back their results... -- [nvidia-glx-new] glxgears, 3d apps crash X when using compiz-fusion (gutsy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130325 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
