AceLan, I just tried blacklisting hid_rmi, but the jumping cursor problem still persists.
I am going to try blacklisting i2c_usbhib as the Arch Linux wiki suggests (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics#Laptops_with_touchscreen_.26_touchpad).
