Hi everybody, this is the first time I add a comment on launchpad, so would you
please excuse me if I write something inappropriate.
I have the same problem with the HDA Intel PCH VT1802 Alt Analog on my ASUS
s200e. I've been trying for weeks, working with the alsa mixer, purging pulse
audio, editing /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf or installing the alsa DKMS
drivers from
https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-dev/+archive/alsa-daily/+packages
Nothing worked.
Reading some forum suggesting to try a downgrade, i tried xubuntu 12.04.04 from
a live usb and woilĂ ! everything works great.
But that's all.
xubuntu 14.04 doesn't work... ubuntu 12.04.04 neither..
so, why xubuntu 12.04.04 is so special?
I'm not able to answer, but if you do you'll find the solution....
I hope this could help...
