In the system you have, it doesn't appear to be switchable - some
outputs are only controlled by Intel, some outputs are only controlled
by nvidia. If you want to see anything on the panel, you need to enable
Intel. As the igfx is also the one used by the BIOS, it is declared the
primary GPU and so will always be active.

  Nvidia-prime, Nvidia card turned on(performance) but settings manager
  shows intel is selected. Can't switch. Laptop heats like hell.
