I created this bug as a partial replacement for bug 130033 (which turned out to be two separate issues). Instead of having a single bug report dealing with two separate issues, there is two reports.
The modules "ata_piix", "pata_mpiix" and "pata_oldpiix" does not work. However, it boots correctly if I specify "all_generic_ide" as a boot option. If there is any additional information necessary to fix this bug please just ask for it here.
