Running /usr/bin/unity gives very similar output, but not identical so attaching unity.txt containing this. Also attached gnome-session.log which does have errors.
I am also seeing a very strange problem on the machine where I cannot login unless I have connected via an ssh shell before trying to login. Otherwise login just returns to the login prompt. Very odd and probably not associated with this problem, but I thought I should mention it in case it is relevant. ** Attachment added: "unity.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212821/+attachment/3855672/+files/unity.txt ** Attachment added: "gnome-session.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212821/+attachment/3855673/+files/gnome-session.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1212821 Title: Unity fails to load on old hardware on Saucy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1212821/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
