I am the same opinion as vilbara, this should be set to default. If i enter the hostname manually its working
http://alpha-unix.de/~iceroot/ubuntu/nm-applet.png strange is with another fritzbox-model and ubuntu 11.10 it was working fine, with ubuntu 12.04 and a newer fritzbox-model its not working.
