Same problem here: first core is always between 75% and 85%; kworker is
taking this cpu under top.

With:
echo workqueue:workqueue_queue_work > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/set_event
I got mainly acpi_os_execute_deferred rows.

Power cord trick doesn't work for me.

System details:
Ubuntu 12.10 with 3.5.0-21
Samsung 7 Chronos NP700Z7C
Intel i7 / nvidia 650m

I've also tested this http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.7.1-raring/ with not luck...
