the rc6 needs to be disabled *in*any*case*, that is known by now. And it is a standalone patch of xf86-video-intel. Did you really apply the patch to the right source > tree? Huuu? Are you sure? I checked my git commit log and it is kernel 3.7 tag of Linus, then the merge into my git repo, and then the patch.
