Addendum to my Previous Comment:

Is it possible to use the package from ubuntu 13.04 , save it, and then apply
that package to ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS ?
( I have tried many times to go to the web address listed above , ie ,
http://www.amd64.org/support/microcode.html
to do a manual install , however, it is a dead link.

The following is error message, the equipment, and system information
for which I am needing the microcode for :

dmesg | grep microcode
[ 5.128876] microcode: CPU0: patch_level=0x06001119
[ 5.251335] microcode: failed to load file amd-ucode/microcode_amd_fam15h.bin
