See bug #1048059: The workaround is to open a terminal, then enter the following without comments, $USERNAME being a variable. Here you should fill in your actual username: # Add a folder sudo mkdir /media/$USERNAME # assign the folder to my user sudo chown $USERNAME.$USERNAME /media/$USERNAME Please give feedback wether this helps.
