To clarify, you expect it to be 1280x1024, with the 24 bit color mode as shown in xorg.conf, but it comes up in a different resolution? It looks like in the Xorg.0.log that it used 800x600. Is that correct? > also the xwindow will be restart when I try to change the resolution, To clarify, you are seeing an Xorg crash when you change the resolution using xrandr? > because the resolution is incorrect, I could do the rotation from the GUI. To clarify, you were able to successfully rotate the screen, but you believe this is only because of the lower resolution settings? Also, when you say "from the GUI", do you mean the "Screen Resolution" preferences dialog? > from the MMI, I got the same error when trying to do roation. What is "MMI"? ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- Incorrect Rotation result on Screen Resolution with Crestline on Santa Rosa https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119961 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
