O.K., apologies for that last; this wasn't the bug I thought it was (mountall not re-mounting the root disk rw after the upgrade to 12.04), but the failure during the upgrade, which turned out to be amazingly inconvenient, as the upgrade crashed out at this point leaving me with a completely unusable system.
As might be clear from the previous comment, on this system, running lilo with no arguments doesn't work; this failure is expected. 'lilo' must be run with the flags -P ignore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002823 Title: package initramfs-tools 0.99ubuntu13 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lilo/+bug/1002823/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
