This has absolutely nothing to do with the problem. This message is ultimately caused by gparted having decided to abandon Windows compatibility as a default when setting up partitions. To get this windows partition to boot, the CHS values have to be as they are. Whilst to access the file system from Linux, the linear address has to be as it is.
However, I have now found a solution.
