I think that we need a new start, AS IF WE DIDN'T DO ANY TEST BEFORE. Probably I made some mistakes (sorry!) in previous tests, thinking that installing headers was simply done by installing (and not previously deinstalling old version) a newer version on top of the old one. The following results are obtained installing the versions displayed in the first column on a system that has no 3.2.0-25 kernel (purged and rebooted). On a "clean" system, if I can express myself lending from fsck terminology. Here the NEW test results:
V1 does NOT boot. As already mentioned, the vmlinuz file is not readable. During deinstallation an error message is shown (reported below). V2 works fine. Different from previous situation! V3 shows a new panic (file image attached, name at the bottom of the msg). Different situation! V4 works fine (garbled grub in the previous test). Different situation! V5 Errore: cannot read the linux header at grub. Different situation! V6 grub does not load menu. Manual start ok, boot is fine. Different situation!
