(Don't want to steal leoquant's karma, so on review, please see he was first to comment, but I added a needs info status) It will be helpful if you can specify as much as you can about versions, download times, etc. I was able to do an install from an iso/cd recently to Feisty that worked very well, so we know that some of these have worked. If you can help us with more information, that may get us closer to the problem. It will be good to know the following, please, when you have time:
1. Some specifics about your platform, especially anything directly related to the slowness. What is your processor, your memory, have you had problems in the past with speed. Perhaps someone will be able to recommend a specific and not-to difficult or expensive upgrade that will solve the problem, or even a setting change. 2. Please state the day you downloaded the CD, as close as possible. Also, if you think it's definitely the CD. Can you tell us if other versions of the de ubuntu iso also manifest the problem? Thank you for giving us the information you've been able to convey. If you can help in these other ways, it may be we'll be able to aid ourselves and the community more efficiently. Best wishes. ** Changed in: Ubuntu Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info -- Hangs while installing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120964 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
