Here are some other things to look at. As leoquant said, the developers will need the error messages. Others may be able to direct you to additional areas, but I would start with the following files and output right after repeating the exercise that evokes your failure please: 0. Please specify how repeatable this problem is, and any steps you see to repeat it. If it is not repeatable, then we will probably keep the bug dormant, but if it is clearly repeatable for you, we have something to work on. Have you tried turning off and on your machine first? Is it partly repeatable, or 100%? 1. Output from dmesg which you can get with dmesg >/tmp/dmesg.lst 2. Output in /var/log/syslog (you may have to log into root to access this, so be careful not to edit or remove anything there. 3. Similarly /var/log/kern.log, /var/log/Xorg.0.log 4. Also output from free: free >/tmp/free.lst 5. Output from df: df >/tmp/df.lst You are welcome to reply to me, and then I'll help you sort out what you find before we post more. I'm a little new at launchpad myself. xc -- The only sustainable organizing methods focus not on scale, but on good design of the functional unit, not on winning battles, but on preservation. -- Hangs while installing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120964 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
