Thank you for the reply.  I found that it is most reproducible if I
start Amarok, lock the screen (under Gnome), unlock the screen, click
the small Amarok icon that brings it back into focus.  Then XServer
appears to crash (i.e., I have to re-log in.)

Amarok was started from the terminal command line, and stdout and stderr
were captured in the attached text file.
