And I tested it. It does not boot. I'm going to disinstall it, now.

Let me point out the following part of the transcript of msgs provided
by sudo apt-get purge version -25.
The link /vmlinuz.old is a damaged link
Removing symbolic link vmlinuz.old
 you may need to re-run your boot loader[grub]
The link /initrd.img.old is a damaged link
Removing symbolic link initrd.img.old
 you may need to re-run your boot loader[grub]

Just in case this might help. And... might it be helpful if I provide
you with success-unsuccess of boot for all the kernel versions I have
installed?
