@henrix: Hello Luis Henriques. I've already seen this same behaviour with a 
different kernel version (always 3.something, sorry, I dont' exactly remember).
The only solution that worked was to boot with kernel 2.something.
After a couple of kernel version updates, everything worked well again as in 
the past. I presume it's some kind of problem that's related to my specific 
system configuration. At the time I reported the bug and also all the testing I 
did. If you can access older bug reports you'll find more info.

However. I have just run sudo update-grub. Here's the message transcription:

As you can see, no error message has been shown. I'm going to reload the
system now and (hopefully) report back in a hour. ;)
