As much as I respect the time and effort put in Ubuntu by everyone, how come 12.04 could get out the door with such a bug?
Tried today to burn a data DVD-R (on 12.04) and got the same result as Davide above (twice as I tried again). To make things worse it was in front of a friend I was trying to impress with Ubuntu. Let's say I floped, hard. And I am not even talking about the very long time it took as the image check is on by default and takes ages. Can we get a quick fix without resorting to external PPAs? In the current situation both Brasero and Nautilus-integrated burning is completely broken, and for all Precise users from what I read.
