Yes, I removed alsa-hda-dkms and the thing come back as before (I didn't reinstall the linux-image... shuld I?) . I will report a new bug --- sorry for the harsh words of yesterday, but this thing is a bit of a stressing thing. It all worked so beautifully with oneiric and the alsa ppa... . What was the incantation to have apport add the information?
