Woo hoo..... progress being made. Compile worked fine on the natty install.
Working version on natty: linux-stable: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git kernel-package: 12.036+nmu1 Broken version on 3.0.0 linux: git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git kernel-package: 12.036+nmu1 Both have been using good=v2.6.35 and bad=v2.6.36-rc1 So perhaps some dependencies in the compile environment. Or it could be a problem with the config grabbed from the 3.0.0 version. First kernel under test now.
