...depending on whether you have a 32bit or 64bit installation.
Then, install the deb file. You might be able to double-click on it, however 
the standard procedure is to use the command line:

sudo dpkg -i linux-image-(...).deb

It installs automatically and registers in grub.

You just have to reboot and select the new kernel at boot time.
