Following the instructions Joachim Frieben kindly linked in this post [1] and again in the last one, I had absolutely no problems installing the driver from the snapshot he posted here [2]. It took me less than 5 minutes including the reboot and works like a charme. However, to make the procedure even a bit faster, I wrote the commands from [1] together in a very simple (no error handling!) script, which I attach here. It belongs in the drm folder, from [2] and must be executed with sudo. The kernel-headers package matching your installed kernel must be installed. Please use at your own risk.
