dmesg checked. Looks like it recorded with acer-wmi blacklisted.

Could you use the same kernel[1] and follow the procedure to test
please?

1. Install Oneiric
2. Use jockey to install broadcom driver
3. Install kernel at http://people.canonical.com/~ikepanhc/lp/826784-5/
4. Reboot
5. Test the AP scanning
6. Attach `dmesg` and `rfkill list`
