~6 hours in Ubuntu 11.04, ~10 hours in Lubuntu 11.10. I agree that the cause can't be known from this, since too many things changed all at once going from Ubuntu 11.04 to Lubuntu 11.10. I don't have time to do more tests right now, otherwise I would have.
