@ Erwin Junge How you get your result? ~6 hours in Ubuntu, ~10 in Lubuntu? or ~6 to ~10 in Lubuntu with a different kernel? However, Erwins test shows that there are huge difference in battery time from different desktop environments, thus, you can't get results based on kernel test only, because it's just a fraction from hundrets of other consumers, including: cairo, compiz, metacity, pixbuf, xorg, mesa, wifi, open-closed video drivers, Mutter, Unity, indicator applets... etc. Can someone test the latest kernel on Ubuntu 8.10?
