No, no news since Brad Figg confirmed on May 10.

I repartitioned and installed a clean 10.10 side-by-side, reinstalled
all apps, transferred my data, and shrunk the 11.04 partition to a
"standby" size pending the resolution of these bugs (particularly the
crashing). (Painful, but I needed to get real work done.)

I'm still using that 10.10.

I will abandon Ubuntu altogether for my next machine -- 11.04 has been
an absolute nightmare.
