I'm using now a different laptop with the same wireless card, Atheros
AR9285. First I suffered the hwcypt bug and data transfer rate was very
low (25-30 KB/s when downloading files), but connection was pretty
stable. Then I solved the low data transfer issue creating
/etc/modprobe.d/ath9k.conf with the following line:

options ath9k nohwcrypt=1

Now the data transfer is again the usual for my connection speed (about
400 KBps) but the dropping connection issue is back.

Still no news on this?
