apparently, I can reproduce even without rebooting.

As i can't capture this in video from within, I used my camera:

It's ugly but it shows the problem.

I started from a webapp (GReader), i clicked on a link, it created a new window 
in which it restored my previous session.
In that session, I had the link from comment #2 (the google ipv6 page), which 
contains a chart in flash.
It includes a corrupted xterm. And at the end, when the problem disappears, i 
just gave the focus to the tab owning the charts.
