Reposting the link to the xbmc wiki as it doesn't work (at least for me). http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Automatic_lirc_resume_script
With or without the script, after resume, lirc in 11.04 just dies and won't work until the machine is rebooted. In my case, after resume, the usb receiver dongle will will light up and stay on forever (normally, after the remote stops emiting, it the LED will turn off). Then the remote becomes unusable. lsusb: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 1784:0008 TopSeed Technology Corp. eHome Infrared Transceiver cat /proc/bus/input/devices I: Bus=0003 Vendor=1784 Product=0008 Version=0101 N: Name="Media Center Ed. eHome Infrared Remote Transceiver (1784:0008)" P: Phys=usb-0000:00:12.0-3 S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.0/usb4/4-3/4-3:1.0/rc/rc0/input2 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=kbd event2 B: PROP=0 B: EV=100013 B: KEY=fff 0 200108fc326 237605100000000 0 700158000 419200100001 9e968000000000 10000000 B: MSC=10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789819 Title: Lirc mceusb resume problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lirc/+bug/789819/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
