This doesn't seem to have anything to do with gconf.
To solve this problem open the following file with your favorite text-
editor with root-rights:
/usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache
Somewhere close to the end you'll find a line like this:
x-scheme-handler/ftp=firefox.desktop;
change it to:
x-scheme-handler/ftp=nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;
Save the file...
FTP-Favorites open with Nautilus again (tested against Gnome 2.32.1 //
Linux Mint 11 Katya based on Ubuntu 11.04)
