Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity
Unmaximizing a window by double-clicking the appmenu should restore it to the last size AND position. I found it restores the window in a different position, a little further to the right. Repeating the operation 2 or 3 times makes it move to the next desktop. Also, some applications doesn't unmaximize at all -the Help, gedit and others.. Using the unmaximize button works just fine. i'm using 11.04, fresh install, up-to date unity: Installed: 3.8.12-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.8.12-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.8.12-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://ftp.ccc.uba.ar/pub/linux/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.8.10-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://ftp.ccc.uba.ar/pub/linux/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages indicator-appmenu: Installed: 0.2.1-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 0.2.1-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 0.2.1-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://ftp.ccc.uba.ar/pub/linux/ubuntu/ natty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status pd: sorry for my bad-english ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: unity 3.8.12-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, compiztoolbox, decor, place, scale, mousepoll, move, imgjpeg, imgpng, unitymtgrabhandles, obs, resize, regex, wall, gnomecompat, grid, animation, expo, workarounds, animationaddon, ezoom, staticswitcher, unityshell] Date: Mon May 9 23:43:41 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Release amd64 (20110427.1) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US:en LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug indicator-appmenu natty running-unity -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780268 Title: unmaximize from appmenu puts the window in a wrong position -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
