I am having this problem in Natty Narwhal, too. It was working fine in 10.04 32-bit, but when I did a fresh install of version 11.04 32-bit, I started having problems. Unlike some of you, however, I am able to run Unity fine on my GeForce GT 220... but not any 3D applications. I tried some suggestions from some people who claimed to have fixed it, but nothing worked for me. My "nvidia_current" driver is "... activated but not currently in use"
