It seems that two types of issues are being mixed in this bug report, one that only affects what can be seen in jockey (aka Additional Drivers") and one that also affects the NVIDIA driver and does not allow to run Unity.
My original report was just on the Jockey problem, as I'm able to run Unity with my driver, as seems the case of other people reporting in this bug. I recommend the ones that are having problems with the graphics driver and not able to run Unity to look for the appropriate bug report (there are some specific on this) and report there if they can add some information that could help.
