Thanks, does the sound issue also happen with the standard Natty kernel (2.6.38-8)? If so please file a new bug for that issue with ubuntu-bug linux (terminal) (while running that kernel). Does suspend work with the standard Natty kernel? And what does it do when you run the command: xset dpms force off in a terminal? Tip (since with the standard Natty kernel you need to type the sudo setpci -s 00:02.0 F4.B=01 command): ctrl+alt+t calls up a terminal window the cursor up key lets you access commands you previously ran in the terminal - so you only have to type setpci one, next time you can do cursor up and then return (if it was the last command) Could you then also check with and without the i915.alse_backlight=1 parameter on Kamal's kernel. Normally, the backlight should come on again after any key press. What does it do instead? I too think Ubuntu is worth the effort :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/773740 Title: 11.04 --DARK SCREEN--Need a lamp to see -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
