Sorry if I've not explained properly, this is my first attempt at a bug report.
The problem I had to start with was that the CPU fan was running full speed all the time. Also, when I ran "sudo /etc/init.d/laptop-mode restart", it exited without any feedback. So I edited the file and removed the 2 x's on the line above and re-ran the command. It now gave proper feedback: $ sudo /etc/init.d/laptop-mode restart Password: * Stopping laptop mode... [ OK ] * Starting laptop mode...
