I am jealous. My alsamixer has 'mic' and 'line' only. It has never had mic1 or mic2. I'm using a Dell laptop i386. Do I have the wrong alsamixer version?
My mic worked, and I used skype and soundrecorder, until a recent update. Nobody has said they found what was up with that update, but it hosed my system, and no mic since. I did the complete rebuild (C), because A and B did no effect. Now I have problems with the sound as well as the mic. The puzzle is that my mic worked until recently. What happened with that update? What will happen with Feisty Fawn?
